HIGHLIGHTS MAISON&OBJET January 2025

A New Chapter of Design in Paris

HIGHLIGHTS MAISON&OBJET GENNAIO 2025 – Maison & Objet 2025 is ready to offer an unforgettable experience with two unmissable events: from January 16 to 20 and in September from the 4th to the 8th, with the highly anticipated Paris Design Week taking place from September 4 to 13 in the French capital.

Since its inception in 1994, Maison & Objet has become a global reference point for the design, decoration, and lifestyle community, with a mission to discover new talents, stimulate debate, and offer inspiration. The digital platform MOM (Maison&Objet and More) has continued to connect brands and buyers since 2016, launching new collections and facilitating networking even outside physical events. With the introduction of digital services in 2023, MOM has evolved into a fully-fledged marketplace.

The January 2025 edition is highly anticipated for its theme “Sur/Reality,” which celebrates a new form of surrealism by blending fantasy and poetry. This immersive approach creates imaginary worlds and alternative realities, inviting us to explore the unusual. Marking the centenary of the Surrealist Manifesto, this year’s event honors the legacy of masters like Magritte and Dalí. Surrealism is reinterpreted in a contemporary context, highlighting the vibrancy of creative processes. Expect to see unexpected objects and dreamlike settings that cater to the growing consumer demand for the surprising and unconventional.

In Hospitality by Uchronia with Julien Sebban

Maison & Objet January 2025 shines a spotlight on the new colors of luxury hospitality. The project What’s New? In Hospitality, created by Uchronia with designer Julien Sebban, brings fresh perspective to the sector with a 200-square-meter space located in Pavilion 6.

The concept is divided into three distinct areas, each offering an innovative touch. Café-Bar, for instance, upends traditional notions of day and night, with scale and proportion rules being turned upside down. Master Bedroom, part dream and part metamorphosis, transports visitors to a place where dreams replace reality. Rounding out the experience is a gym and garden, blending energy and poetry to create a space dedicated to both sport and nature.

In Retail by François Delclaux

In the pavilion dedicated to retail, François Delclaux presents a curated selection of objects under four themes inspired by the Sur/Reality concept: Curiosity CabinetDaydreams & PleasureIllusions, and Natureculture. Each product reflects an amplified reality, marked by unique and sometimes eccentric forms, materials, colors, or uses.

These ultra-creative pieces capture attention, surprising and enchanting visitors while injecting poetry and wonder into daily life. Three animated showcases will explore the event’s key themes: sustainability, museums, and Made in France. Additionally, the Merch Plug & Play section will offer “ready-to-use” solutions for retailers, inspired by the fast food industry and reinterpreted as a “design bar.”

Moreover, Retail Coaching will provide free consultations and training sessions, led by retail experts.

In Retail by François Delclaux remains one of the HIGHLIGHTS MAISON&OBJET January 2025, continuing to push the boundaries of design.

In Decor by Elizabeth Leriche

Inside Pavilion 7, Elizabeth Leriche presents the In Decor theme with a selection of new design products from exhibitors. These products tell the story of colors and materials that will shape the interiors of tomorrow. The immersive and dreamlike experience is designed within a large labyrinth, symbolizing the unconscious.

This journey disconnects visitors from reality, inviting them to experience awe and reflection. From a curiosity wardrobe to a dream bedroom, visitors will explore the importance of imagination, playing with scale and proportion. Finally, a hypnotic corridor offers a selection of styles and new products, guiding interior designers, buyers, and creators in their future choices.
