The Official Schedule and Key Updates
MILANO FASHION WEEK FW 2025/2026 – The Men’s Fashion Week in Milan will take place from January 17th to 21st, 2025, with a focus on the Autumn/Winter 2025 collections. As in previous years, many brands will present co-ed shows, where men’s and women’s fashion will blend in a single, unified event.
A significant debut this year will be Pierre-Louis Mascia, who until September 2023 was part of the women’s presentation calendar. He will kick off Men’s Fashion Week with his runway show. Alongside him, emerging brands such as PDF and Saul Nash will also make their debut.
Returning to the schedule are Philipp Plein and Pronounce, the brand founded by designers Yushan Li and Jun Zhou, with bases in Milan and Shanghai. This year’s program also features more presentations than runway shows, highlighting the presence of young talents. However, some major industry names will be noticeably absent.
A Sneak Peek of Women’s Fashion Before Milan Fashion Week Women’s Edition in February 2025.
As usual, there will be a taste of women’s fashion in anticipation of Milan Fashion Week Women’s, scheduled from February 25th to March 3rd, 2025.
Notable Absentees: Gucci, Valentino, and Fendi
While the final list of runway shows is still being finalized, some notable absences have already been confirmed. Gucciwill not participate in Milan Fashion Week 2025, choosing instead to focus on three annual appointments: February, September, and a special Resort show in Florence on May 15th, 2025. This decision is part of a broader strategy to reduce the number of fashion shows and concentrate on selected events.
Similarly, Valentino will follow a similar path. The brand’s new creative director, Alessandro Michele, will make his debut at Paris Fashion Week Men’s in January 2025 (January 21-26), marking a shift in strategy.
Fendi has already skipped its Haute Couture show in Paris. In preparation for the maison’s 100th anniversary, Fendi will reduce the number of fashion shows, with Silvia Venturini Fendi set to present the collection without Kim Jonesat the helm. Fendi has opted for a co-ed show during Milan Fashion Week Women’s in February 2025.
Milan Fashion Week Men’s January 2025: The Co-Ed Show Trend
In recent years, many brands have opted to merge their men’s and women’s collections into a single show, embracing the co-ed show concept. This trend, which gained traction between 2016 and 2017 with brands like Gucci, Bottega Veneta, and Burberry, allows brands to optimize resources and better focus on presenting collections. As a result, Men’s Fashion Week, traditionally a hub for buyers and media, has become the perfect platform to merge the two categories into one exciting spectacle.
With these early details, Milan Fashion Week Men’s 2025 is shaping up to be an unmissable event, brimming with new trends and groundbreaking designs.
The Official Milan Fashion Week Men’s Calendar: A Smaller Edition and Emerging Trends
The official calendar for Milan Fashion Week Men’s January 2025 is significantly smaller than the February event, with only 15 live runway shows scheduled. For example, on January 20th, the key players will be Armani and Zegna.
Brands showcasing exclusively men’s collections will include PDF, Philipp Plein, Emporio Armani, Giorgio Armani, Prada, Saul Nash, Dolce & Gabbana, Dunhill, and Zegna.
As for co-ed shows, Dhruv Kapoor, Magliano, Simon Cracker, Jordanluca, Pronounce, and Pierre-Louis Masciawill take center stage.
Other renowned brands such as Federico Cina, Brunello Cucinelli, Maragno, Canali, Tod’s, MSGM, Paul & Shark, and Bally, though not participating with live runway shows, will present their collections through exclusive events or live streaming, remaining integral to the event.
This edition of the calendar highlights some of the challenges the fashion industry is facing: the high cost of runway shows, the increasing separation between men’s and women’s collections, which no longer reflect current market demands, and the growing repetition of proposals.
“Alta Sartoria” – The Women’s Haute Couture Collective Show on January 20, 2025
On January 20, 2025, during Milan Fashion Week, the event “Alta Sartoria” will take place, featuring a collective runway showcasing women’s haute couture brands.
This initiative, promoted by the partnership between Confartigianato and Camera Showroom Milano (CSM), will offer women’s haute couture companies in the Confartigianato system the opportunity to gain exposure and enhance their visibility.
The project will include both photo and video content during the event to promote these artisanal businesses. Additionally, the event will be supported by the ICE-Agenzia, which will organize an incoming program for international buyers from various countries, allowing participating companies to connect with potential international partners.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote sustainable and artisanal fashion during Milan Fashion Week.
